Retouching
I will give this post to Retouching.
There is a space between Photography and Retouching, but it's combined. I hope you understand.
Retouching for photographers is the place to realize the work you are doing. The captured moment can be good - but can be even better while processed. Nowadays, it's essential to be on point and stand out in that process but realistically.
To bring the image pop is some elements in focus; light, depth, and clean-ups.
People don't know that the clean-up of an image is the most powerful tool for us photographers.
We want to make the eye focus on the right thing, not going around on small shitty spots that are in our way. We want to remove all these disturbing elements around it and bring the subject 100% clear.
It will bring more quality to the image.
Let me give some examples of essential clean-ups:
Road signs, trash cans, dirt, hair fly-aways, wrinkles, reflections, and color distortions.
Another powerful tool is adding that doesn't exist. Like effects, overlays, changing backgrounds, or textures.
I will attach a picture of a Volkswagen Golf Concept car I captured in my studio; the scale is 1/18.
The thing with this image, there is a good base exposure with a lot of details, but I wanted this image to look real.
To make a picture of a miniature car with the environment look real, it needs to include real elements.
In this case, I have added some overlays containing actual information, like snow and haze/dust and even a backplate of Mountains from Norway.
I will say it change the miniature look to realism instantly while added this information.
